crazy weekend!

Friday I met up with the Facebook gang at the Red Door in Fremont for a couple drinks; a whole bunch of new faces showed up this time, so that was awesome. Met some cool new people, hopefully they'll all come out again. I also went out and bought myself a shiny new bicycle, which is pretty exciting. Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to actually ride it this week, it's looking iffy. Too much craziness going on.

Saturday we threw a costume making party at my place for Lissa's birthday party later that night, which was a Zoolander-themed party. I had so much fun, and everyone had such awesome Derelict costumes (Lissa, Jess, Annabeth and myself all went as models) crafted out of plastic bags, plastic clothes hampers, bubble wrap, anything we could find. I went in a red miniskirt with plastic bag trim, added a bubble wrap trim to my hooker boots, and crafted bottlecap earrings to fit my hollow plugs. We all wore ridiculous makeup. Everyone looked so awesome, and of course every photo had some sort of ridiculous model face. I can't wait to get hold of those pictures. Jess wasn't feeling good so I actually took her home early, discarded my crazy getup, and then went back to hang out some more. It made me really happy that everyone was telling me they were glad I came back... those folks are a lot like the gang I used to party with in college, I felt right at home. We ended up hitting the hot tub at like 3am and I didn't get home until four.

Sunday I woke up and cleaned the apartment, since it still looked like a dumpster had exploded in our living room from the costume making the previous day. Cleaned that, vacuumed, did the dishes and scrubbed the bathroom. Then Don came over for a nap... I love naps. Upon waking from said nap, we dined on peanutbutter sandwiches and headed off to the Chop for a show... Get Set Go was playing and I am in love with them (even more so now that I've hung out with them a bit!) and actually, the whole lineup was pretty good. I didn't realized it was going to be a chick rock kind of night, but I have great respect for any girl that can get up and play her own instrument and rock out since not too many do. I picked up a fun new t-shirt and three new albums to play with, so that was pretty awesome.

Now it is monday, back to the grind. I have to work Target four days in a row this week, Chop Suey monday/wednesday/friday like I always do (I'm at work right now). Have to haul ass and finish the stuff I was working on for Jess tomorrow if it means I'm up all night. Luckily my Target hours are only 7-11am (which sucks, because tonight they're 7-11pm... i hate closing and opening back to back). Oh well. Don starts at Target tomorrow, which I'm pretty excited about.

okay. back to some actual work now, I think.

drunken merriment, happy, bike, boy, bragging rights, target, seattle
