A whole lotta green

Week three of the Co-op netted us

1 pint strawberries
1 pint cherries
another head of lettuce
3/4 lb spinach
1/4 lb sugar snap peas
head napa cabbage

A light week but I know there'll come times where we're buried in produce so it all evens out.

Some of the other choices were arugula, cilantro, kohlrabi, beets, swiss chard, or scallions. I still have the kohlrabi I bought at the Farmer's Market, and the scallions from last week.
Unfortunately my work schedule has changed now that summer's here and we're open till 7 or 8 so I don't get home until well after that. I'm going to have to do my weeks cooking on Sunday and Monday and pack up meals for the two of us.

I used the rest of the salad turnips from last week and this week's snap peas today for lunch. I stir fried them with a carrot and a couple of the garlic scapes, threw in a little bit of soy sauce, orange juice, mirin, and sake and tossed some cooked shrimp on top. Pretty yummy.

I ate about 2 cups of the strawberries from last week, Chris ate a cup or so and I cut up and froze the rest. I have a weight watchers cake recipe I want to try them with, I'll let you know how it goes.
