Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Well I am sure those that follow on facebook know this, but as to re-enter the world of live journal I will post it here as well. After a long hiatus from school I entered into an accelerated curriculum to advance myself from a diploma registered nurse to one with a bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN) over the last 18 months. I graduated in Colorado Springs on March 26, 2012 with my husband there to support me. It meant so much to me to have him there as he has supported me throughout the whole process. It is amazing as life continues to move forward how we both have become pillars of support to each other in different ways as we each face new challenges. After a bit of discussion, we decided that instead of waiting to further my education, that if I wanted my Masters degree I should just continue to go for it now. So that is what I am doing, as of May 20, 2012 I will be back in school studying and trying to conquer my Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management. This will take me another 19 months and hopefully graduating in Novemeber 2013. We will see what credentialling I wish to persue after that. Hopefully we work my way into the ranks of being a Healthcare Executive someday, but only time will tell. (Stay away from my dream cloud with that needle, I'll kick your ass).
