Back after long absence to announce our Wedding Ceremony !!!

My partner Chris Gullick and I will be getting married in the state of New York 10 years after our initial meeting. We had inital plans already in place to celebrate our 10 years together in New York, but then they passed the same-sex marriage law on June 24, 2011. So all of a sudden we decided to throw in a wedding ceremony on top of it all. So on September 10, 2011 at 1 p.m. we will be married by Reverand Alison at the Cop Cot section on the South end of Central Park in New York City. It is an exciting time as we have the ceremony arranged, have applied for our license, got the permit for the park, tuxes rented, boutanierres ordered, candles to exchange bought, little personal boxes to place our rings in to have them blessed, photographer secured, reception dinner arranged, wedding cake ordered. I can only say that I am excited to take our place in history.

To top it off we will eat at Olive Garden on September 9, 2011 which is the restaraunt brand that we had our very first date at. This will be the first year we will not be eating at the actual place we ate. Then we have three shows we will be seeing, Zarkana, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Anything Goes. On September 13, 2011 we will be going to see the 9/11 Memorial. The whole trip will be an emotional draining , but awesome trip all the way around.
