I just noticed...
I just noticed something about the way the English language has changed. There was a time when you would "throw someone to the wolves". Now, you would "throw someone under the bus". When did that happen? And why? I think it's related to the fact that a majority of people live in urban environments, meaning that buses are more familiar than wolves to most. I could be wrong...
