I've never seen this before, but it's TERRIFIC!!!! I'll be watching it again....and again. Really like the song and the edits/clips. Thanks for posting it.
I have been previously confused between the back of Luke's head and the back of Chris's head. How did Noah know it wasn't Luke? For that matter, in a town like Oakdale I'm sure Noah has probably met Chris Hughes. So if he got a good enough look to know it wasn't Luke, why didn't he realize it was Chris
( ... )
I totally agree that Reid wouldn't have let this go on. I've always had a hard time swallowing that, but ESS really sells and makes it almost work.
Chris had at least 30 pounds on Luke, so I could see why Noah wouldn't think it was him. And (I can't believe I'm defending Noah) it's possible he wouldn't know Chris since he had just been back in town a few months. When Chris was in town the last time, he looked different! ;)
For years Noah always irritated me but I could watch his scenes and just be a little cranky. But during this rewatch where I'm looking much more closely, he really sends me over the edge.
For the last scene, I can buy it. ESS played it like Reid was so excited and distracted (and playing it like the egotistical person Reid has always been). But I can see how you (and others) wouldn't when Reid has come so far.
I thought more about this today (I have a life, I really do) and I realize the main reason the Nuke scene in the Java makes me crazy is that I can almost sympathize with Noah when Luke flirts. He should've been more forthright in the beginning and not fanned Noah's flame. That was not nice although I'm sure he thought he was being so. But really, I again blame the writers. They were writing Luke like a teenager, and although he might not have been that experienced in relationships, he was old enough to know how to treat someone you love (even if you aren't in love with them). You just don't lead them on.
I'll hop off my little box and be on my way! :) Thanks for listening!!!
First of all, thank you for this great recap! I'm a little late with my comments here. I've just rewatched this episode and I can get that you don't like that Luke's kinda flirting with Noah. I think that too although I also think that's just part of Luke's deep feelings for Noah. He can't shut them off and he doesn't wanna loose his friendship with Noah
( ... )
Thank YOU so much for participating in the DIY recap by filling in so many things I skipped over while LA LAing! I appreciate this, and enjoy reading what you have to say about this crazy episode.
With the Noah/Luke scenes and the Chris stupidity, it's like this episode is a double whammy for me.

Artistically, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I decided this video needed "lines" running through it, but I like it despite that.
