Luke and Reid are sitting on the couch and Reid explains what newborns are.
“Newborns are newly formed vampires, they are humans that just got changed, and they are mean, and angry and sexually driven, their emotions are off the charts so if I change you, you will not be able to be around anyone for about a month or so, if your body excepts it, some new vampires body’s can’t except it and they go on some dangerous binges some try to end their lives, it all depends on what is going on inside.”
“Well, that is why I have you” Luke said with a smile and nudged Reid in the side.
Reid smiled but went on with his story
“Trust me; becoming a vampire is not all it is cracked up to be. I myself, after I got changed, I had no one, Evan found me and saved me, he was the one that showed me we didn’t need to kill humans to get food, we can be friends with human, well, until the guy killed him”
“Evan sounds like a smart guy”
“He was, he was one of those vamps that knew everything, he didn’t care if he wasn’t following the ‘traditional’ vampire myth, and so he took me under his wing and showed me how to be good and nice and he took the rage out of me that I felt.”
“Well, I guess I owe him a lot!”
Reid smiled, “Look, I just don’t think it would be good if you turned that’s all”
Luke reached for Reid’s hand and they held hands together
“I know Reid, but look at this way, if you turned me nothing will stop us” Luke takes his hand and puts it on Reid’s face and rubs it with his thumb.
Reid smiled softly.

Luke was sleeping in his bed and Reid looked on standing in the doorway and smiled at the beautiful sleeping Luke.
Reid packed his things which wasn’t much and put everything in his truck, nothing was left behind, and Reid left Luke behind.
