Well, that first one is sort of a microcosm of everything you could want from a loving relationship (obviously no one wants the dodgy knee, but if you did have it, what you need is a gorgeous, wonderful boyfriend to make it better and be besottedly in love with you!)

My favourite bit of the second one is: He’ll say yes again, he’ll always say yes, that’s not even a question, but he’s so tired and he hasn’t packed and he’s thinking about leaving his grandparents alone again in the morning, and Michael’s looking at him with such kindness, Irish-heather eyes all affectionate and romantic, and he can’t manage romantic at that second, he just can’t. And Michael just knows, of course, and plays it exactly right, and they're just so wonderful together... :) And James' gran is an absolute star, of course ( ... )

I admit I really like how, even as Michael's worriedly trying to take care of James, James is calmly reassuring him too, and totally calling him out on the internalized and undeserved guilt. And besotted Michael, using those lovely hands to give a massage, will never not be wonderful ( ... )

I'm fairly sure, with the third one, it's "dessert," not dessert...though there may be chocolate sauce involved.

Oh, believe me, I was totally there with the quote marks! *g* Although chocolate sauce - mmmmmmmmmmm...sticky. ;)

(Why penguins, Michael? the coloring? the awkwardness? the good parenting? *laughs*)

Er, because penguins are awesome, clearly! (come on, the waddle is adorable!) I think Michael may have been channelling me a little in that ficlet... *g*

(Hmmmmmm, my comment responses don't seem to be up to much this evening - I think I'm slightly braindead at the moment!)

The boys do not mind becoming...sticky. ;-) Anyway, they can always shower, later...

Penguins, hmm? Drat, no good penguin icon. I just always think of Happy Feet, and then I cannot take them seriously! But I actually can see Michael randomly liking them. Something about his sense of humor.

(Poor brain. Blame the undergrads. Much like zombies, they are not satisfied until brains're gone. Perhaps new fic will help?)

Awww how adorable! I loved all three of them, but especially my extended prom fill! I think Michael did a perfect job with the proposal, and he's just so caring and always there for him! <3 It was really the perfect fill! :)

And poor Michael for failing on his first date with James in the third one, but for once I guess he's thankful for all the paparazzi, because his story did sound a bit unbelievable. It was a good prof... and I'm sure he'll find some other ways to apologize to James at home :D

Aww, gosh, thank you! I am glad you liked that second one especially, since it was your lovely prompt! *shares credit* Michael really is the best boyfriend...fiance...future husband...ever. :-p

for once I guess he's thankful for all the paparazzi, because his story did sound a bit unbelievable.

Probably the one and only time, but absolutely yes--hard to argue with photographic evidence! And now they can go home and apologize to each other for failing at first dates--and then the date will end up being a success after all... ;-)

The first two were lovely. I especially liked the first one. It was so sweet and cutely domestic in a way. And I loved the third one of course. These were definitely the pick-me-ups I needed after some awful school related things. Sorry this wasn't very eloquent. It's been a bit of a bad day and I think I'm just gonna go curl up with 'Vincent and the Doctor' and work on fic. But these were all lovely and helped my mood considerably so that I can be in the right mind to both watch Doctor Who and work on fic. :)

All three were just fun, I think--easy to write, easy to have ideas for, not much editing after. That first one is just so...cuddly, I think, the way that they've settled into domesticity, Michael offering massages, knowing about all of James's old injuries and aches; James preemptively getting Michael to not feel guilty over something that's not his fault, and asking to be kissed. Love, they have it.

Sorry the school-related things're being awful! *hugs* Anything I can do? Sympathetic ear? Not that Vincent and the Doctor can't help, too. :-)

My brain is been so tiredly lately that I'm lucky if I get anything written. I have ideas for some quick little fics but even those seem to be more effort after a long day of school and homework. I keep trying though ( ... )

School does demand a lot of brainpower! Even though it's a different kind of writing/thinking, it's equally exhausting--real work. I find that fic-writing helps, though--different sectors of the brain, or something ( ... )

YAY! You've expanded the second one! And I hadn't seen the third one before. *sighs happily* Three lovely fics all in one, which I now can save and keep to read over and over again. ♥

That second one just was crying out for more, especially since they did need a proper proposal at some point--as sweetly imperfect as it still was! I do love Michael just kind of automatically knowing what James needs, and it's not a huge grand display, it's intimate and reaffirming and about the two of them, together. :-)

The third one was comment!fic for one of the Daily Delicious posts, last week...now expanded slightly, just for atmosphere. Poor Michael, the universe conspiring against him. At least he has James for forgiveness and, er, dessert...

You read them over and over again! *all the happy expressions* Such amazing compliments, you give me. :D :D

Awwww ♥ So sugary-sweet and just adorable! ♥ And Michael knows how to take care of his James~ And James being nothing short of perfection in all these three ficlets. (Speaking of James, did you know that he won a 9th place in Glamour's Magazine Top 100 Sexiest Men of 2012? Fassy was there, too. I believe he got the 5th place~ :DD)

Oh, definitely, to both! I love reading (and writing) them as a couple, together through everything, old injuries flaring up, new family stress to contend with, unexpected proposals, problematic first dates...they can overcome everything, together. (About the second one, I admit I really like James taking care of his family, when he needs to--dropping everything to make sure everyone's all right--while Michael takes care of him. And proposes. Beautifully. Twice.)

They both deserve to be in the top ten! I can see why Michael's higher--he's just been more visible this past year--but obviously they are both sexy, inside and out. (I probably have slight James preference, but they have such different physical appeal that it's actually hard to compare!) I imagine they called each other, to tease/congratulate, in the aftermath...

And I love reading fics where you write them as a couple ♥ I enjoy the first-times, of course, but something about domestic ups and downs just.. works for me. ..Because I'm a romantic sap? Because I'm married and can relate to everyday happiness that can be found in the smallest things? Maybe.

Michael sure does know how to propose. Perfectly, at that.

They sure do! But I'm siding with you here, I'm a James' girl. There is something absolutely mesmerizing about this man. It's rather obvious with Michael- he's handsome. He has beautiful features that are very manly and a lovely body. In his case, his attractiveness is out in the open. While James is something different completely.. blue eyes, yummy freckles, curious hair, sweet accent, delicious lips... quite a lot of men have one or two of those attributes, but here comes James that has all of them and *that* is just- too much.

Because I'm a romantic sap? ...if you are, we all are! But I actually like seeing the couple-stories, instead of the first-times (though I like those too!) because in some ways the first-time stories're...not easier, exactly, but...more predictable? It's one single source of tension (though of course with infinite variations), that you KNOW will get resolved, by the end; it's a beginning, and there's more to the story. The couple-stories are about two people finding strength in each other, without having to worry over all the does-he-like-me-or-not distractions. The love is a given; they can move on to conquering obstacles, together. (Did any of that make sense? Was working it out as I typed.)

I think that's true, about their attractiveness; you look at Michael--EVERYONE looks at Michael--and kind of physically think, wow, gosh, yes. Obvious handsome. James...it's a different kind of attractiveness, less arresting, more lovely and warm and inviting. (Curious hair is a fabulous description. *steals ( ... )
