It's nice to have a pet cat with you while you're working. That would be Kirsten's cat, Jazz. She turned 18 years old this month. I could do without her snoring and farting though. Yes, I'm over at Kirsten's today, sitting on a comfy sofa and getting some work done. Her parents popped by earlier to do some work in the garden, and I had lunch with them, but otherwise I've been on working hard on tying up some loose ends on a couple of website development projects.

Work is going ok. I've got my fingers crossed that the funding comes through for an interesting project developing a hardware product and related software systems. I like it when I've got something new to get my head around. I'll be focussing mainly on the software side. I'm under non-disclosure so can't reveal much about it. The news of funding hasn't arrived yet so I'm starting to think that it might just fall through.

Aside from that potential work, I've got some work for the Scottish Agricultural College to do - one is a bug fix on the cow counting project (www.fertbench.com) and the other is to introduce a new area on the www.knowledgescotland.org website. I'm also looking forward to hearing about another couple of potential projects from them next month. That should keep me ticking along, but if the hardware projects doesn't come through, I do need to secure more work.

I might also have some work hooking in some of my old property management code into a Drupal Module, as part of the redevelopment work for a Solicitor/Estate Agent's website. Must chase the folks up and see when this is going to happen - it has been on the cards for a while now.

Perhaps the 'No Excuses Networking' meeting on Friday will be useful for me to find some more clients.
