Control issues...will someone explain this one to me?
This is the story of my life...I'm not mad, really, just like WTF???
Okay, hubby has always been somewhat of a control freak. Suddenly, today he asks me what I'd like to do and that he was willing to go along with whatever I felt like. Now, he's said that before, but ultimately he gives me reasons why my ideas suck (mostly the "too expensive" crap) and we end up doing whatever he wants anyway. I'm kinda sneaky about things, though...during the weekdays, since he leaves super-early and comes up super-late, I call the shots until he gets home.
So when he seemed pretty sincere this time, I'm immediately suspicious. Yeah, hell of a note for someone who's in a "committed" relationship, but he insists it's my day. Mother's Day is next month, and my birthday's in December, so it wasn't that.
He points out that his horoscope in the paper said to do it. And I quote, "Accommodate a partner or a loved one and do what he or she wants to do for a day. Both of you could be delighted." He decides to actually be indulgent and "allow" me a free day because his HOROSCOPE tells him so? Mister-Rational-and-Logical-and-Aspberger's-Engineer??
The ironic part was that he'd misread it. This was actually the prediction for Aquarius, and he's a Capricorn. Should've known. We did go to SouthPark Mall in South Charlotte, and had lunch there and walked around. We did spend some time in the Apple store so he could see what all the ruckus was about the iPad.
But, yeah, this is the kind of thing I have to put up with on a daily basis. He needs a horoscope in the paper to actually tell him when to actually "allow" someone else to have a say in what we do? Then take over anyway???
