In other news, we have now had election leaflets from Labour, the Greens and UKIP. Get your finger out, the rest of you. Although I'd be just as happy not seeing one from the BNP, obviously.

Voted in the new Ward on Thursday; rather startled to discover, on Friday, that the British Nasty Party's (bizarrely, female) candidate came third, albeit more than 900 votes behind Labour. They got more votes than the Tories, the Libdems, UKIP or the AGS. Frankly, this is somewhat worrying, but, hey, at least they didn't win. Or come second ( Read more... )

I thought I'd lead in to the local elections¹ tomorrow by reviewing the pamphlets we had pushed through our door. Sadly, only the Lib Dems and Labour have bothered this time, which is rather slack of the others, even if they haven't a whelk's chance in a supernova of winning.
