For Continuity's sake:

You, Rupert Giles, are still somewhat of a prat. HOWEVER. However. You did turn into a small child who enjoyed piracy. And even though the timing of that was soul-crushingly BAD for Jack Sparrow, that's points, that is. Also? You dislike Angel. More points. And you love Buffy. More points. Oh, we're still hovering in the "dislike" portion of the spectrum but its intensity is waning, you might say, and being replaced by...less-intense dislike. Annoying? Yes. But not hated. The height of Jack's positive feelings toward you can still be pinpointed to that time you turned into a dragon. That might possibly be the best that can be hoped for.

Even if they weren't currently dating, Giles is the person most important to Ginia. He's many things to things; someone she can count on because he's always there and has always been there, someone she trusts to watch her back, a person she deeply respects and admires, and someone she can really be herself around. Giles is really the first person to see her fight and realize there's definitely a lot more to her than a nice, friendly person with a very curious nature

Jack: ...oh geez uh.

Conflicted?

Basically, his perceived failure to help his previous master was a lot of the driving force behind his determination to protect his current one. (Who may or may not actually be the previous one, seriously answer some damn questions, MochiJun) So the fact that Jack is here has him running in endless mental circles of omgwho'smoreimportanttomenowwhatdoido.

Right now Oz is winning out because he's a lot more accustomed to Oz and trying to remember his past with Oz doesn't give him a migraine BUT yeah. He really isn't sure what he's doing wrt Jack and is just going to keep an eye on him from as afar as he can get unless something changes. (Such as, expect to find food trays &c outside the door but no sign of Gil himself.)

Richard: Much the same as before, I think, though Gil isn't nearly as hostile toward him as he once was, since his behavior hasn't displayed any kind of hostility toward Vincent or anything like that. However, he's pretty sure he only needs one troll in his life. :| We'll call his
