I've been living in Central Europe for nearly a year and a half now. It was time I explored a little more of it than my immediately-neighbouring cities. So, with mild trepidation, I laid down just under 10,000 Czech crowns for a week and a half's trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the spring.

Having a conversation recently in Another Place about drinking Foster's from choice, so as to be able to drink for longer at parties, reminded me of when I used to go to Oslo every month for a couple of years to see my then-girlfriend.

I quickly learned a few things about Norgie drinking habits...

I have never tried Boris Bikes yet. Great idea, seems to be popular enough, but the scheme starts roughly ¾ of my way into London, so it's not a lot of use to me. By the time I'm in range, my journey is mostly over, either on a proper bike that I own or on a train.
