Not exactly the day off I was hoping for.

Jun 12, 2009 23:56

First off, I obviously need to spend more time on the internet, as my flist is getting really annoying to read through 240 entries back to find a post I recognize. JESUS H CHRIST, ONTD_STARTREK, HAVE YOU NO LIMITS? (Although I guess that would defeat the point...)

Slept in until noon(ish), goofed off for a while longer, argued with parents about random furniture choices, measured my room for paint. Made plans to go get said paint on Monday. Started moving stuff from my room to guest room with Mom, which led to an argument. (Big surprise there.) Responded to a work email, then decided to go shop for new flip flops/drive aimlessly around for a bit. Saw Julie during driving, also picked a fight with Liz because she picked up the hint and Amalie didn't.

Instead get derailed from a roaming drive by Marlee wanting to hang out. Swing by Hobby Lobby to get items for Katie's really belated birthday present, then grab a pizza and come home. Marlee and I then catch up on our lives in between bites of Little Caesar's and commercials of House on USA network. It's kinda funny explaining House timelines to her because she doesn't watch regularly, just when it happens to be on or when she's at my house. She likes it, but not enough to follow it. It also is made more amusing by the fact that USA refuses to show them in any semblance of order, so it jumps from season three (with ducklings) to season four (with many new!ducklings) to season five (with new!three!ducklings) and a rapidly increasing scale of House/Cuddy UST.

Meanwhile, ate half that cheese pizza and completed the frame for Katie. Marlee whined about how I'm so artistic and I was just happy the thing didn't turn out shitty/I didn't get paint on my new shirt.

Am currently dreading tomorrow, it being my first day as shift supervisor. And it being a Saturday. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

I want more days off, this one wasn't fun enough.

daily grind, coherency is overrated, house
