I got a pair of jeans recently. They're too tight. Same brand, same size as always - too tight. I've only just now realized what a mistake I made. I even tried them on in the store, and didn't realize how tight they were. I've worn them for a couple of weeks, and washed them a couple of times, so I can't return them. Of course I got them at Kohl's, and they'll take them back at any time for any reason, so I could return them, but it doesn't feel right.
I got a pair of shoes, and I hate them. There's no arch support, but apparently they no longer make shoes with arch support, so there's no help there. The rubber sole started peeling off of the foam part of the sole. The place I got them from does shoe repair, so I took them back and they glued it back together. If the place didn't do repair, they probably would have taken them back as defective, but then offered me store credit, and that was the best pair they had. I should find some arch support.
This summer I got a pair of outdoorsy shorts. I wanted an outdoorsy-looking belt to hold them up. The only one I could fine was this off-white one with a plastic buckle/clip. It looked a bit like canvas or hemp, and I thought it would be fine, but it turned out to be stretchy. That doesn't seem like the ideal material for a belt, but I figured I would just stretch it tight around me. In actuality, since it's stretchy it just slithers right through the buckle. I cinch it up, and by the end of the day it's slack again.
I was running out of black socks, so I picked up a 12-pack. They're not as thick and cushy as my previous set. It's like, they don't make 'em like they used to. That's OK. They don't have to be as cushy. I'll get used to them eventually.
I need a warm sweater. How do I find a warm sweater? I've got one that's probably thirty years old, but the cuffs are getting frayed and unraveled. All the ones I've seen in the stores are thinner that it.
I buy shirts for work, and it seems I usually forget to look at the details. I just decide whether the color is good, and then buy it. When I get it home I realize it's missing something, like a pocket. It's annoying when they don't have pockets. Yesterday I was going to wear one of my dark blue shirts, but I passed it up because it has white buttons. It looks so cheap! Who would buy a dark shirt with light buttons?
