I hate buying clothing

I got a pair of jeans recently. They're too tight. Same brand, same size as always - too tight. I've only just now realized what a mistake I made. I even tried them on in the store, and didn't realize how tight they were. I've worn them for a couple of weeks, and washed them a couple of times, so I can't return them. Of course I got them at Kohl's ( Read more... )

His wife hates shopping, and no way in Hell is she going to buy him things to complain about!

I know it's annoying for so many men to buy clothing but you made me laugh so you did your good deed for the day.
I bought all Manolo's clothing except shoes and cold weather jackets. He hated shopping like nobody else I know.

Funny, I don't usually have this much trouble. Except for the thing about the shirts. I always have trouble remembering to watch for pockets or button color.

Sometimes a shirt looks okay with white buttons- chambray, for instance. You could switch the buttons out if you like the shirt enough.

Write down the things you definitely want in a shirt when you shop next time, then you don't have to remember in the moment and you won't be "missing" a pocket when you get home. ;)

It is odd that your pants were sized oddly because, in my experience, men's clothes are pretty steadily sized while women's are all over the freaking place. Currently, I wear pants in 10, 12 AND 14, depending on the company making them, so I advise checking the particular company's sizing chart if you can't try the clothing on. But trying on, sitting in the fitting room to be sure things still feel right, is usually the best way. Admittedly I don't often do that these days and I ordered Old Navy jeans on sale awhile back, used the size chart, pants were too big. I sized down, returned the others, the new pants were still too big in the waist, but fit otherwise. UGH.

It used to be easier- I remember! lol

And these were Levi's. You'd think they'd be pretty reliable. Plus, I had bought this size more than once in the past.

Something fishy's been going on with quality control in every nook of every industry since 2020, I swear. I wonder if you got a defective pair, truly.
