This fanmix is great! I love the songs, all of them are so good! Now I'm really curious about the character's that inspired you for this fanmix...I think I'll go to my bookstore and search some Batgirl's comics!=)
If you talk to a clerk or whatever at your local bookstore/comic store/etc, be sure to ask for v3. Not that I have anything against Barbara (v1) or Cass (v2), but this fanmix was made specifically with Stephanie (v3) in mind.
There are only 24 issues so it's not even a huge run to look for and I highly recommend it. It's full of humor, wit, and just a general good time. Brian Miller is probably my favorite comic writer at the moment. :)
There is some triumph for me as they've just benched her character so the more people who get into Steph's batgirl run the more it can be a sign to DC that shelving her was a big, big mistake. No offense to the newly re-batgirled Barbara.
Thank you so much for the info, they were really helpful! I have made a quick search on the net and I discovered that they have already published two comic volume of this 3rd Batgirl here in Italy!=D
>>It's full of humor, wit, and just a general good time. Good! This is what I want form a comic!=)
This Batgirl (v3) looks really like a good character (is she the one that is friend with Supergirl?O.o) so I hope they will re-think about her resignation!
Not a problem. I'm quite inclined to ramble on about this sort of thing for ages if people will let me. XD
Same here. I like some of the more serious stuff too, but I am not one for the gore and stuff. Just nope, can't do it.
Yes! Steph has a marvelous team up with Kara in this run where they fight Dracula of all things. It's quite marvelous.
Here's a clean version of part of the cover from that volume. I'd say it's a must read for fans of Stephanie or Kara personally. (I happen to love Supergirl quite a bit too.)
She's close friends with Supergirl and really close friends with Cassandra too (v2 Batgirl, also known as Black Bat).
As far as that goes, I'm going to drop you a PM about some comic stuff. So randomly, I love your profile. It's so cute!
This mix is FANTASTIC. *downloads* Superchick has ALWAYS been the band that I've listened to when I read the new Batgirl issues, but I don't think that I've got the versions of songs that you've included in your mix! So thank you!
I'm missing Stephanie Brown more than anything rn. Seriously DC, why'd you shelve such a great character!?
I tried to pick a mixture of songs that embody not only how much Steph's been through, but how she hasn't let it hold her back either. I also stuck to female vocals not only because I tend to prefer them, but because I think it suits the topic better.
That said, I couldn't agree with you more. nu!DC is just so... dark and grim. I just, blegh. Bring back the humor, the levity, the utter joy that is my Batgirl!
I'm not sure how well it'll work, but I have every intention of starting a fic or something about Steph post-batgirl thanks to some inspiration I got off a forum the other day. Because it's time Steph moved away from batfam and started being her own legacy I think. Which is where Nightingale comes into play. I think it's an awesome name for her both in that it has a nod to batfam/the night and I also use it as a Florence Nightingale reference who I also associate with hope. I think it suits her a lot better than the Spoiler identity does. She's moved beyond that now. That said. I hope you enjoy the mix! I'm not sure about the

I think you really succeeded in that. I'm starting to go back in the history of her character, since I loved her so much in the Batgirl title, and I love how much she's developed and grown as a person. Considering how heroes tend to be a gloomy lot, Steph was such a refreshing change

You too? I've been into comics for about three months now, so this whole reboot thing couldn't have hit me at a worse time. Right when I'm getting into it, right when I'm hooked they... go and change all the things I'm hooked on. Couldn't have timed it better if I'd tried. (Thanks Murphy, thanks a lot
