I pulled my wedding dress out of the closet today with the intention of finally taking it to the dry cleaner to get the dirt along the bottom removed. There are several big yellow stains on it. Samuel ate his first Cheerio today. Unfortunately, it didn't stay down, as a subsequent one caused him to gag and vomit. Poor kid. Apparently Cheerios are still a little advanced. I was impressed by how quickly he figure out how to pick them up, though. He pushed them around for a minute or two, then managed to pick a few up but dropped them ( Read more... )

I should never have posted about Samuel's long sleep stretches. It hasn't happened since.

Well, the good and bad news regarding the snake is that I'm fairly certain it was a Texas rat snake, which is nonvenomous. So, it's good that Sebastian and Lewis were never in danger, and that there aren't poisonous snakes roaming around our yard. It's bad that we killed him without having to. After a few rings it occurred to me to look at the clock. Reminder to self: not all of the world is up and at work at 6am.

So, I'm going to get a tiny taste of single parenthood tonight. Lewis just left for school, then for Texarkana. One of his eyes has been funny for a couple of days, so his dad wants him to come up so that he can check it out for him.
