Single Parenthood

So, I'm going to get a tiny taste of single parenthood tonight. Lewis just left for school, then for Texarkana. One of his eyes has been funny for a couple of days, so his dad wants him to come up so that he can check it out for him. I feel badly about letting him go by himself (partially because Lew's dad hasn't seen Samuel since he was born), but it takes so much longer travelling with the baby, and it would mean a much worse night's sleep for Lewis tonight.

This is going to be my first night away from Lewis in 15 months.
