Saturday I ran an errand to Eugene. It’s been postponed a couple of times - once because my car was in the shop, and once because my brother was in town for a visit. After a three week delay, I finally went.

My aunt had major surgery on Monday and was able to return home on Wednesday, a day later than originally planned. My cousin and I are coordinating schedules to help out, and Wednesday I made dinner for my aunt and my cousin - and took it over to my aunt’s house on the other side of the river.

When I made Hōrensō no Gomaae on Christmas Eve, I took a few photos. I’m not really sure why, other than documentation. I’ve never actually made a double batch before. And I did not remember that I Took Pictures Before. So this was a repeat exercise. But that’s fine; documentation is good.
