Universal Studios. Definitely worth while seeing.

I'm a little bit tipsy thanks to a beer and a glass of Sangria.

Today we drove along the coast to Camarillo and went shopping.

Afterwards we drove to LA, where we tried to find a hotel in Santa Monica and ended up finding one in Pasadena. Great hotel but they only had the rooms for one night so we booked another hotel at the airport.

Who knew that driving could be so exhausting. And I didn't even do the driving.

After our last breakfast at Union Square and a little bit of shopping we picked up our rental car - a huge Chevy Tahoe - and drove along the coast towards LA. boy, that's a loooong way. We made it past Big Sur and are currently stranded in San Simeon if I'm nor wrong. ( Read more... )

I'm sunburned. My forehead and my nose are fire red and no they've started to hurt as well. Should have worn a hat!

Anyway, today was a good day even though there had been some bumps along the road. But I can honestly say now that I like San Francisco.

After another great breakfast we made our way to Niagara Falls to see the famous waterfalls. And glorious it was! I highly recommend seeing them from the Canadian side. It's way more beautiful and you have a better (over)view.

So, another day in beautiful Toronto. And yeah, Toronto is beautiful. Maybe not as beautiful as Boston, but it has definitely some charm.

After breakfast we took our rental to Toronto and walked up to Casa Loma. On the way we got to see more of the mixture between modern buildings and old-fashioned European ones. Maybe that's why I like Toronto so ( Read more... )

Today we flew from Munich directly to Toronto. Eight hours that passed much faster than I had expected. We had a good flight and even though our pilot had announced some turbulences due to the weather is what a smooth flight.

Definitely worth a visit. I had been to Berlin last year with a school class and about 13 years ago on a school trip. I really should go there on my own for once.
