Noda wasn't exactly known for being a suave, smooth talking guy. Of course, that's what other people thought of him.
Yuri, of course, believed what everyone else did. Noda indeed, was not suave nor a smooth talker and plenty of other things that don't really need to be said, because they're self explanatory.
"...What are you doing?" she's skeptical, because out of no where in the midst of just about going to sleep, he barges into the infirmary with his signature halberd.
"I heard some punk messed you up so I can here to see if you were alright and to find out who this punk is and kick his ass and -- "
"Noda-kun. Shut up."
"Call that scumb bag out and beat him to a bloody pulp and -- oh. Oh. Uh, sorry, Yurippe." he apologizes, awkwardly scratching the back of his head. There's silence between them, and Noda isn't quite sure on what he should do next.
"Noda-kun..."
"H-Huh? What is it, Yurippe? Do you want me to go kick that punk's ass or get everyone and beat him to a bloody pulp or -- "
"Noda-kun," Yuri reprimands him with only his name, and he knows that he should shut the fuck up before he gets his ass kicked.
"R-Right. Sorry, Yurippe."
But Yuri can't stay mad at him for long, even if she was supposed to be mad at him for some stupid shit that he's done. She just can't.
So she smiles softly at him, lies down quietly with the sheets rustling as she fidgets in bed, and turns her back to him.
"Thank you, Noda-kun. For caring."
"...I-I...!"
And, just as fast as he came in, Noda left.
"That idiot..."
