Game #2: September 30th, 2010
Beefy Bastones 4 - 0 Toronto Lightning
RW Louis Tentsos #17: 0G, 0A, 0P, +/-0, 5 SOG, 11:00+ TOI
Amazing how I didn't score this game. 5 shots on goal, and 2 or 3 of them should have gone in. I had a pretty lousy 2nd period but I was all over the offensive zone/blue paint in the first and third. I was lucky to pretty much hit the ground running as I came directly from playing the Markham fair, so all my adrenaline was going right away. My first shift I got the pick in the slot with the goalie down and out. Somehow the defenceman got in the way of the open 4x6 and blocked the shot. In the 3rd, Beav and Morsillo each set me up right in front of the net beautifully, and the goalie got his pad on one, and the puck bounced on me going to forehand on the other.
Speaking of blocked shots, I had another blocked shot fail in this game. Going to block a shot on the PK, I went down on my side facing my shinguards to the shooter, and remembering the balls incident, and instead went sliding on my back. The shot went right over me (fortunately Alvin saw it all the way and saved it), but I really left my ribs exposed.
Next game is huge! The hated Mulleteers. I'm expecting at least 30+ penalty minutes total and definitely some fighting majors.
