It's the 2010-2011 Season!
Hey gang, so Hockey with the Political Aniamls and Beefy Bastones has started again! So, as I did last year, I'll be chronicaling my stats on a per game basis.
Game #1: September 23rd, 2010
Beefy Bastones 3 - 6 Marlies
RW Louis Tentsos #17: 0G, 0A, 0P, +/-0, 1 SOG, 9:00+ TOI
Although today I feel like my body's been broken in half, I felt okay for the most part during the game. It was hard keeping the legs going in the 3rd period, but that was about it, and that's to be expected; it was only my second time on the ice since march, and the first time I really went full force. Part of the reason we lost was a couple new faces on the team; Brandon and I were still playing together, but we had a new centre named Billy, so it was a matter of getting our timing down. We certainly had our chances.
The main thing I remember from this game was going up to the point to block a shot, and basically pulling the "flamingo." The shot got through, and deflected into the net, and the goalie didn't see it. I was so pissed at myself afterwards 'cause I knew I screened Alvin on it. I'm hoping that it's not a brain thing from when I blocked the shot with my balls in the playoffs last year. Shot blocking and positional hockey are two of the few things I'm usually good at!
