Game #3 will be forever renound as the “drunk game.” Due to it being opening night for the Leafs (and buy-2-get-1-free pitchers night), we decided to watch the game at Alladin’s and rack up a $120 bill between the team. Needless to say, we weren’t playing to the best of our abilities; which is weird ‘cause it still ended up being a very close game. For a Mulleteers game, though, it was actually pretty docile, until a scrum at the end, and one of their players going through the “good game” line saying “F-U, F-U.”
Game #4 was just one of those nights for the other team. In the end, I felt kinda bad for them. I was moved up to the 1st line (a.k.a, the Shotgun line) with Lloyd and Beav and basically rode their coat tails all night long. The funny story is, until we get the new jerseys for the new players, there’s two #17’s on the team; myself and Paul. So, obviously, the refs are getting a bit confused. In this game, Paul got credit for 3 assists on the stats sheet (one of them WAS his, though), but I got credit for a goal Paul scored in Game #2. It kinda works out that way. :) But yeah, this game was a romp in the truest sense of the word.
The Animals begin next week, which should be fun!
