goodbye, oklahoma...hello, reality

Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince
Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows...I could've done without the Epilogue. It didn't add enough to me to be warranted, but whatever.
+ Overall, feeling like no book will grab me like these, heh.
Currently reading: The Shack. I've heard loads of things, etc, etc. Very different writing style from Rowling, so I'm trying to get into it.
OKC was great. Definitely releaxing as I don't feel I did much. We did go to the Oklahoma Zoo, which was much larger than I would've imagined. I took a lot of pictures while playing with my camera phone's settings, but haven't found a better way than text/e-mail to get them to my computer :P Ryan had to go through a little extra security after realizing he sent his wallet with Brinn (she drove to OKC a few days before we flew out), but it wasn't too bad at 5am, haha.
Ryan's birthday was the 2nd & he had a lot of fun, which I'm glad. Last year he didn't even want to acknowledge his birthday, but I guess he knew a little better having me around, haha. I got him an electric razor. It cracks me up how something so small can excite him. I think he's made me feel his face after every time he's shaved since then.
I've already started plans for my birthday, lol. It's rare that I get to 1) have a party 2) much less have a party ON my birthday. This year, my birthday lands on a Friday which means we get the DAY OFF (you're welcome, everyone, haha, God Bless America). To keep it cheap(er), I've decided to have it here...get the grill going, etc. & ice cream cake! Actually, I was looking at Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins, & MaggieMoo's - when I saw that MaggieMoo's had ice cream cupcakes I decided that would be my "cake." I can't wait 3 more weeks! haha. Some ineteresting news? We're flying Ryan's mom out for that weekend & my parents are coming up, so they'll be meeting each other for the first time. It made me happy to see Ryan so excited yesterday when we finalized plans :)
Alrighty, we're getting some volleyball in tonight, so I've gotta go...I haven't played in so long.
