OMG!! I'm dying

Jun 21, 2012 16:10

So where I'm at the temperature is 93 F but it feels like 100 degrees. It was the same yesterday too. And when it gets above 75 F I ten to stop eating, because I start feeling sick and tired. Also I get dizzy just lying down and the thought of eating makes me wanna yack. So I lucky to be able to eat just one meal with out getting sick. God, can't it be fall already? On the bright side Cummbie near me will be giving away free slushies on the 22nd. My job to cook dinner meal sucks. I took out a whole chicken to make for today meal on Sunday and just tossed it into the slow cooker at 1 pm for tonight dinner. Don't know yet on how I'm gonna serve it to the family as dinner. I'll probably just shred it and serve the chicken on tortilla wraps for tonight. And if there is leftover chicken maybe I freeze it or stick it into the fridge for everyone to pick at for tomorrow lunch or make some chilled chicken type soup.

Slow Cooker Whole Chicken
  • 1 Whole Chicken(Mine was a Roasting one, but I don't think it matters)
  • 1 to 2 tsp Black Pepper(I just dusted the chicken on both sides)
  • 3 to 4 tsp McCormick Grill Mates Montreal Steak(which is just Coarse salt, Spices that are just black pepper, and red pepper{which I think is Cayenne}, Garlic, and Paprika)
  • 1 to 2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 to 2 tsp Onion Powder

So, took the bird out of its packaging and rinse it inside and out; took the giblets out to be cook on the stove for 30 to 45 minutes in some spices.
Pepper and other seasoning of the bird and stuck it breast side down in the Crock Pot on HIGH, no liquid added.
Going to let it cook for 5 to 6 hours or until it starts to fall off the bone.

Then probably just shred the meat in a bowl and stick the bones and skin back into the Crock on low with 7-8 Cups water to make broth over night.
