First of all, thank you so much for your responses to my previous post. I will reply to you all eventually, in fact I was planning to, but now something terrible happened and I don't think I can respond coherently right now

Oh, you poor thing! I don't know what to say except that I'm so very sorry. I have a dog and I pretty much live in constant fear that something might happen to him. It's the nightmare of all pet owners and parents, so don't burden yourself with the thought of it being stupid and pathetic to mourn.
Do you have a garden where you could bury the kitten? I would want to have my dog buried in a familiar place where I can visit the grave. I don't know if it's legal, but who cares, really?
Thanks for your kind words. I know what you mean: right now every time I leave home and come back, first thing I check is if my other cat is still here.
I don't have a garden, only a park behind my house which is public property, and right now with all the trees still bare it would be quite conspicuous to try and bury something there now. I have had her cremated by the RSPCA.
I don't have a garden either and it probably wouldn't be a good idea to bury anything in a public park. I'm glad you made the decision so that you don't have to worry about it anymore.
I wish there was something I could say but I know there's nothing anyone can say that would make it better. But I've been reading Enchantment for a long time and I've also read your other entries and I feel like I've come to know you a little. So I guess I just wanted to tell you that I'm thinking about you, for what it's worth.
I don't have a garden and there's no pet cemetery anywhere near here, so I've decided to have her cremated.
My other cat is very confused still. She doesn't understand where her sister is and keeps looking for her. Of course she's never been alone in her entire life, so I think it's hardest on her. I cuddle her a lot now.

I think to have your kitten buried somewhere that you can visit will really help you, in your garden if you can.
And you have to be there for the surviving kitten.
I know it's hard, I've been through similar.
*hugs you*
