Have found an interesting flashcard learning program, called Anki.
Anki is free to download, and impressively simple to understand. It has a large user-made database of "decks" of flash cards for a huge range of languages and study topics, and seems easy enough to edit or create your own. It can handle all sorts of media, so some language decks come ( Read more... ) -
One down, five(?) to go
Just completed my first GIA class!
It was limited to 3 months and cost $150. (I got it done in about 6 weeks.)
The next one is limited to 18 months and costs $1400 plus books and supplies...
And then after that i have to start figuring out when i can go to New York (or southern California) for two weeks.

Memo to Self: Remember to read the Fine Print
GIA scholarship app deadline was April 30th. - _- must wait for June 15th for the next application period to start, and into October before award money is allocated.
FAIL.

Real Job
I've been sprucing up the resumes again, which really didn't need very much sprucing given how often i've done this in the past year. Going to try and get myself a 'real' job, something with steady hours and days. Its not that i'm completely over working at the theater, I'm only about half over it, but i'm certainly not feeling as 'at home' here as ( Read more... ) -

Nothing quite like doing everything at once!
Yesterday was my going away party, which was much fun. Which means that today i can get down to the last half of packing to move; i don't need the couch anymore, i can give away the table, take posters down. College: It Happens To You
So, story of the week is the not-St-Patrick's-Day-Party i went to Wednesday. You must first understand that Green day in Savannah is actually Green Week and i generally avoid anything north of Derenne Ave in order to stay as far away from the drunken hordes as possible.

Restless
When graduation was imminent, i panicked a bit. I could really imagine living without deadlines and projects and the next quarter of school.
When i spent the summer at moms it wasn't so bad, i thought maybe I'd exaggerated. I had things i could do, cleaning, projects for SCA, projects for Lemon Street.
