Accepted!

So, I was accepted to the University of Central Arkansas...and that means, next fall, sometime early August I will be moving halfway across the country to go to school.  I can't be more excited!  Except for the prospect of moving away from my friends, but it's pointless to be sad over that right now, that'll come later.  I'm stoked!  I can't even wait.  This is maybe that change that I'll need to jump start everything up again and really really finish school, and move on to the next chapter in life.

Yesterday I hiked Picacho Peak.  One of the best hikes ever!  It was intense and steep, and you had to sometimes pull yourself up by wire cables.  I went with my friend David, who is moving this next Tuesday to Texas, so that was such a great experience with him.  Then we went to the Ostrich Ranch!  I figured since I was moving anyway I had to experience some things of Arizona that I never had before (a trip to the Grand Canyon is in order actually...).  So, we went to go feed the ostrich, the deer, the goats, donkeys and lorikeets.  Ahhh, I had a blast.  I felt really bad for the animals, but I'm sure they get enough attention and plenty of food...just felt bad for them being all penned up.  The lorikeets were a ton of fun, they're like brightly colored medium sized birds.  They're loud and they drink nectar, so they have fuzzy tongues!  But I had like 8 of them on me at once, man oh man, I was having a blast.

I have today off from work...again.  So, I think it will be well spent getting some research done for my Japanese paper.  Gotta do like an hours worth of work at work for tip purposes, but not a big deal.  Other than that, enjoying my few days of spring break.

This Friday will also be fun!  I got invited to go to the Benefit Dinner and represent the fine young men and women that come out of the organization.  My goal is to get money out of the donors, so, hopefully I do well.  I'm also excited to hear the Academy and see what they've been up to.  It's so strange not marching.  Life is so boring without it.  (Another reason why I hope Arkansas is gonna fill some of that void).

Ah yes, life is good.  Probably just because it's spring break, but whatevs.  Hope you're all enjoying your spring break (whenever it ends up coming around for you)
