NO! You totally just spoiled yourself - I'm sorry... but it is a BRILLIANT episode. Best one in a very, very long time! Come back and squee properly once you've seen it!
Sorry late responding - don't seem to have much time for LJ on weekdays right now.
As soon as it was done, I watched it a second time!!! WOW! Yeah that's how I felt too. It's just such a great episode with so many wonderful moments.
A lot of people seem to be asking for Neil Gaiman to be the next head writer. Maybe the BBC higher ups will take note and ask him to take over whenever Moffat decides to move on!
BUT, don't you think that most of us FanFic writers have been struck a bit of a blow? The Doctor and his TARDIS couldn't communicate... Hmm I disagree actually. I never took any of it to mean that they didn't communicate, more that they didn't communicate the way we all thought. I definitely got the impression they did have a connection but that the response he gets from the TARDIS isn't a tangible, understandable thing like we'd imagine. But still I don't think it's a big a blow as all that. It's workable. But no, them having actual conversations telepathically probably doesn't happen.
I agree! Mostly! This is definitely up there with my favorites, if not the one. I do like the little bits we're getting about other rooms on board (there was stuff about it last week). But now they're all gone? Does that include the archived console rooms? And my mouth FELL OPEN at seeing the Nine/Ten TARDIS again. And I was already squeeing from what the makeshift TARDIS looked like.
Yeah I love it when we get to learn more about the other rooms in the TARDIS! Aww I hope they're not all gone. I feel like since they were in the TARDIS' memory she could remake them once she was all back to normal maybe? I don't know, maybe I'm wrong?
I know the Nine/Ten TARDIS was awesome! Seeing Amy and Rory in there was actually pretty awesome! Gosh, SO MUCH SQUEE in this episode! Enjoyed it a lot!
Hee. There was lots of flapping and excitement live too! :) Awww we should watch together again next week! It was so fun to watch with you for the season opener. Plus I feel like it's been ages since I saw you and I miss you!
I know! I firmly believe that NG should be the next DW showrunner - his series would be EPIC! So EPIC and AWESOME! Also, he's utterly adorable - I love him in the confidential - definitely worth watching if you haven't already!
Oh yes so many great allusions to the past and also we got to see more layers of Eleven which I like - it's really the first time he's faced the whole "I killed all my people" thing and it was fascinating to see how he treated it. Just OMG there's still so much to process from this one - I'm planning to rewatch it in a bit and I think it'll be even better.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I suspect this may become one of my "Rewatch when I'm down" episodes because it made me SO happy.
NG is so great! Did you see the Q&A he did for the guardian the other day about his episode? So fantastic. He's a winner for sure! And he explains where he got the idea from which was really cool.
Yeah it's nice to get some things cleared up in Cannon for sure. I really liked hearing what the TARDIS had to say, I'm just sad it couldn't be longer - oh if only this one had been a two parter... *sigh*. I'm hoping later this week I'll have time to rewatch! :)
So as you know (both to your and Gioia's dismay) I'm never watched Ten's episodes on Dr. Who, but I do love Eleven. Matt Smith it brilliant in that silly a little off not quite sure where he's going next kind of way. The TARDIS being kinda of human briefly and the Doctor being able to talk and touch her was great. I loved how they bickered at each other like and old married couple and at the end they knew they would miss each other even more when things going back to "normal
