Yesterday I went to Pyramid with Jasmine, a close friend that I have not seen for a long time. She was very patient with me despite all the frustrating rules my mum imposed on me (no drinking soda, no snacks, no watching movie...), which to say the least, almost ruin the mood for the outing. She ate in McD with me even though she wanted to eat pasta (which cost more than RM10, and would definitely land me in the slaughterhouse with my mum), and even forgo watching a movie. Then we head to J Co Donuts, which she insisted on treating me, despite my objections. She bought half a dozen donuts which she ate two and I have one, while asking me to take the rest of them home. Jasmine, you are truly the most wonderful friend I have ever known.

We spent a long time there talking about manga. I was amazed that she reads them, the Jasmine I've known during primary school and secondary school never seems to be interested in them. She told me that the manga that she first got hooked on is Vampire Knight (omg, seriously!? o.0) and her favourite character is Zero. We have more and more things in common now! XD

After taking some photos, we head to Popular an MPH to find Vampire Knight manga, which neither bookstores have. : (  Some how or another we talked about manga online, and I told her I've got some of the manga she's looking for in my com. So she came over with thumb drive to copy some of them. Needless to say, my mum is NOT pleased. My mum never likes it when anyone comes over to the house, except maybe relatives. She keeps berating me for agreeing to let Jasmine to come over today to copy some of the untransferred manga into her thumb drive. She warned me never to invite anyone over again.

Mum, it's not like we are pirating dvds or keeping cocaine in the house. There is nothing wrong with people coming over. Even if it's a bit messy, it's not so bad that we have practically no place to walk or sit. Though, I suspect it's just because she regards the whole house as her sanctuary or something, and resents it when outsiders enter the territory. Then what about MY sanctuary, MY ROOM??

I'm 20 for God sake,  I should be allowed to invite my friends into the house! It's not like we're partying and making a mess! Geez.

friends, control freaks, manga
