Springtime: renewal, wot?

Apr 09, 2006 16:47

Hurrah! I've finally got the 70-odd pictures I took a few days ago of campus all resized and shinied up. It's spring and the trees are looking glorious, as are the flowers, and I went a little crazy when we had blue skies and sunshine. I think I may well end up posting all of these, if I don't get bored with the coding, lol.

Shiny flowers make me happy. And Grandpa loved flowers so. I'm afraid I haven't got any zinnias, Grandpa, but hopefully these will do instead.

ART! Whether you think it is or not. :-P

This is the little shrine prayer box dealy by the Japanese gardens. I think the gist of it is that you're supposed to leave a small offering with a prayer. In there were two quarters, a flower, a note that looked like it was written to somebody's father, and a few other baubles.

I like the way this one looks all close and secret with it being so low to the ground.

Lausanne has some colorful foliage going on.

I liked the juxtaposition of the side alley and a carpet of blossoms.

I loved the colors in this one.

The spot under the little shrub there looks like just the greatest little hideaway, doesn't it? You could curl up there with a blanket and a good book and a nice cool drink and just relax the day away there.

I like how the daffodils are worshipping the red flower.

Cherry blossoms everywhere. They're my favorite blossoms.

Naturally solarized blossoms, how awesome is that???

This is the creepy creepy tree by one of the frats. I love it.

Look! My camera took a close-in picture and it looks good! (This doesn't happen too often.)

I love this daffodil.

This crow pooped on my head. Only a little bit, but I was highly annoyed. Laurel helped get some of it out by using a leaf. Yay Laurel! Crow, watch your back.

Reflections are fun.

Does your campus have a waterfall?

I really like those two. Not sure why exactly, but they just please me.

Tree monsters!!!

The majestic chicken fountain. They're really eagles, but for some reason everyone refers to them as chickens.

I love these leaves.

*fanfare* Hoped you guys liked them, I certainly did. Any standouts? :)
