In other words, we have less than one day left to sign-up for the Thing-a-thon! Because I don't say it enough, I want to recognize my daring, darling co-mods jade_1459 and aphelant, as well as the wonderful people pimping us out. Give 'em a hand!
...oh wow, that's just a few days before assignments go out! *bounces*
I'd just like to highlight a couple of things from the FAQ:
+ Up until assignments go out (and after Things are posted), the focus is on receiving. In between, it's time for creators to take their cues and go wild. The mods can help participants specify their preferences in the poll, but after closing it's a one-way trip to another galaxy. Questions like "Why did you list incest?" are for right now!
+ At the moment, confirmation e-mails of your sign-in are unlikely to go out. Tis at my discretion.
+ Once the Acme shark pulls its wheelie, I'm going to whirl my chair over and privatize the part 2 poll. This is how matches will be made:
I shall deface an actual deck of playing cards (♣ and ♥) with everyone's name. Like so!
Then I'll take the names of those wanting *least* popular preference (the very first poll question) and pull cards at random till each participant is matched in all categories. (Then I shall take a drink of my beverage of choice.) So on to the next least popular, until everyone is matched. If it doesn't work out the first time, all matches will be discarded and I'll start all over again. I'll probably be sitting down... That's a long way of saying No Take Backses. *wink*
+ It's a good time to check your spam filters. ;) We'll try to put the word "tarts" in the subject line, but the safest thing is to filter in the mods' e-mails.
+ All entries at lonelytartsclub remain live for the duration of the challenge. Comment away!
