Wow It's Almost Novemeber Again
I was just re-reading posts from previous years, and figured what the hell, a bit of catching up is in order. Well the Mark spoken about in all the entries is the same bastard. He's finally admitted to his cheating after being caught on video so I think he knows this time, there's no need to attempt his Modus operandi of being the "come back kid".
Here's the down and dirty.
Still not meeting anyone for friendship, sex or relationship. Tried Adam4adam, manhunt and a few other gay sites, no luck, only older, bigger, uglier and "just not my type" guys wanting a hookup.
Mark's gone - good riddance
Calvin/Bubba gone - good riddance
While living with my brother, I was able to adopt a 5 year old Sun Conure (bird in the parrot family)and named him Rico. The breeder that brought me the bird told me he was a survivor of a breeding pair, his mate having died, he wouldn't breed another female and he didn't keep them as pets. Me and Rico bonded right away, he came into my life on 10/28/2011. We had a blast, my brother who is not an animal lover fell in love with him. Mark and I got back together and one week later, Rico died (November 18, 2011). Since my job is tech support for audio/video transmission and recording equipment, I am always testing out new cameras and repairs. I had forgotten that I was wearing a body camera while nursing Rico and caught his last few hours on earth on digital video for all eternity. My brother who was 50 at the time cried and told me no more pets in the house. Well our dog Rascal was with us but i knew it was only temporary until Mark and I found another place. We did and moved out in January.
Lets see, daughter was going to Salem College on a scholarship and this year they decided to yank the scholarship and make her pay $15,000 a semester or $30,000 a year. She assed around until the last minute and wound up having to take transfer courses at the local community college but she does not appear to be upset about it. She's seeing another military guy, Sebastian who has served two tours in the middle east and gets out of the marines in November. Him and Leslie will be moving to Arizona in January. I don't like this but she's grown and can do what she wants. She knows her dad loves her and is here if she needs him. Lets hope she does not need to rely on that. I am here, I will help but I hope they do well on their own.
In February, I got laid off, couldn't afford to keep paying $200/mo for the sailboat storage down in Washington, I loved that marina, but I had to cut my losses and drop the boat. Got my 401K, got caught up on my bills had money left over but didn't know how long I'd be on unemployment so I didn't try to pay on the sailboat but instead bought another sailboat on a trailer I could keep at home and don't regret the decision. I have a boat bought and paid for with a trailer and titles to boat and trailer. It's a Catalina 22 and i've been out on her 4 times now. Best thing I ever did. All my sailing has been since I've been laid off. I started to work back in June and have not been on it since. Reason? No motor. When you're laid off and the wind dies, no problem. When you have a job, it's sunday afternoon, you have to work Monday and the wind dies, YOU NEED A MOTOR. I will get one sometime, not worried about it now. About too cold to sail anyway.
I only had one guy left on my yahoo buddy list, that was my partner Mark, now he's gone, I removed yahoo from my computer. I kept my yahoo login since I am a member of some yahoo groups for my boat. I go to those boards every week so I keep my yahoo login.
Well, I think that about catches me up. O yeah, my resolution about going to bars, getting out more? Well, didn't happen... I guess you can figure that one out cant you.
