On a werewolf kick at the moment.
Well, not just at the moment. It's just that I watched
Ginger Snaps last night, and am halfway through
Blood and Chocolate. I also read
Sharp Teeth a couple of weeks ago.
Female werewolf characters are severely under-represented! Especially ones who are strong and clever and get to revel in it without dying for being a powerful female figure. Also, where are my non-white werewolves? Considering the legends are almost universal (
Wikipedia lists names for werewolves from countries like Albania, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Turkey, Romania, Brazil and Portugal), you'd think they'd be a bit more diverse.
Anyone know any werewolf books out there? Fiction as well as histories and mythology. (Man, my library is disappointingly low on the werewolf stuff!) Oooh, found one called
Lonely Werewolf Girl. The cover is kind of ugly, but maybe I will read it once I've gotten through my current pile.
Werewolves kick vampire butt.
That's all there is to it.
