The day started well with lovely blue sky and sunshine. The fact that it is Friday put an extra spring in my step this morning, and the good mood made me reach for my camera.

This afternoon there were more photo opportunities, this time of dramatic nature, as we watched a fire ravaging a 4-storey building on Dean Street in Soho.
According to the London Fire Brigade website there 60 firemen on site.
These brave people were often engulfed in the billowing smoke and all at work we were worrying about their safety.
There was still some smoke when I left work this evening, but hopefully the fire has been put out by now.
