We rarely watch films on TV but on Friday night we did.
We watched "
V for Vendetta" and we loved it.
It was simply riveting and even I managed to stay awake for the whole duration! (I often fall asleep with my head resting on Adrian's lap and snore away)
On Saturday Adrian went up to Leeds for the day to fulfil a promise to his friend Barbara who passed away a couple of months ago.
He and other friends had all promised to meet up again and have a drink (or two) to remember her.
I stayed in London and went with Lynne, Miranda and "Prosecco" Sue to our local farmers' market, then had a cuppa at the Salvation Army shop where we were joined by Guy.
In the afternoon I started working on my contribution for the "Dress the Egg" competition for the Tea Dance on Sat week: “Eggy the Eigth and his half a dozen wives”!
Yesterday we had lunch at Mike and Alex's in Balham.
It was lovely! First time I had homemade sushi and it was delicious. Not to mention the green chicken curry and the mango mess. We were stuffed. A big thank you to both (and especially to Alex for all the cooking).
It was a great afternoon and we even managed to eat outside before it started drizzling.
We caught the train to Crystal Palace and walked home through the quiet park (it was about 7:45 pm). But we didn't get home until 11:30 pm!
Why? We called at Lynne's.
