WHO: Nicoleta and Ion
WHEN: June 20th, Very early in the morning
WHERE: A rectory by the church
WHAT: Husband and wife discussion
After her recent assassination and revelation about forgotten groceries, Nicoleta hurried home by horseback. Once she caught a view of the humble church and an even humbler building near it, she slowed the steed down to a stop. Gigi, her lovely cat with an uncanny aura, leaped out from his seat behind her and awaited for his mistress to do the same. She bid her Gigi goodbye before the feline led the horse away to its barn. It was a sight painted with pure irony and would be seen as amusing to any common man.
Nicoleta stalked through the open yard into the rectory. It smelled of religious perfume and all sorts of scents she had gotten used to. It was calming. Suddenly, she didn't feel as if she had just killed someone.
First things first. She did not want to wake up Ion. So she avoided his room, removed her assassin's garb and took a soothing rose bath. During her bath, she worried that one of the rascals from their basement would stir up and cause a ruckus. Fortunately, it didn't appear so. Splendid. They just saved themselves from a holocaust.
Nicoleta asserted herself that this dilatory tactic would somehow make it harder for Ion to wake up once she would step inside. And so she entered the room, where Ion lay in their bed. Slowly, she closed the door and cringed after the hinges creaked. She grimaced at those hinges, inwardly threatening it that she will rip it out of the wall.
