Two Brothers Together at Last

Apr 29, 2011 01:21

WHO: Bros. Broskis. Brodudes. Brodinskis. Brorades. Mattie and Al~
WHEN: Thursday night, Apr 29th
WHERE: Alfred and Matthew's apartment
WHAT: Full immersion is just what you think it is.

The night starts off quiet, both brothers still learning each other over again- The annoying habits, silly names, and playful punches that are tossed around throughout dinner (KD, because Matthew really doesn't feel like cooking) and a few hours after. It's still a bit awkward, and they're still working out the kinks of living together in a more definite since than just a couple of weeks. They kind of suck at it after all.

Matthew's occupied with his research on whatever topic has interested him that night and Alfred's wholly absorbed in what looks to be an old camera, well-kept and obviously a prized possession. The elder brother turns and glances over, frowning a bit and sighing. This hardly feels brotherly and since it's only the second night of his arrival he just feels like they should do something together. Sitting within proximity of each other didn't count. He tapped at his computer for a few more minutes, closing out his research and deciding he could always find it again later and searching through his computer in deep thought. Wait. Alfred was always a game junkie wasn't he?

Grinning just slightly, Matt's light purple eyes travelled over to his brother again and he called him over. It didn't take much convincing once the phrase 'horror immersion game' was mentioned and after a bit of fuss and hassling they had Matthew's computer hooked up to the large TV and the Canadian could only wonder (half in horror) just how good the game's graphics were going to be. They both padded around the apartment, shutting off lights and Matthew even going as far to cover whatever timer's glaring light might ruin the effect.

As they both returned to the couch, he handed over to controls to Alfred, nodding to his brother and turning towards the TV just in time to catch the starting message, the eerie music filling the entire darkened home.

The world is a dangerous place and you are extremely vulnerable.
Do not try to fight enemies encountered.
Instead, use your wits. Hide, or even run if necessary.

Matthew woke with only those words burnt into his brain. The ground under him was wet and cold, a slow dripping sound and the warmth leaning against his back slowly pulling him from a painful sleep. He shifted slowly, head throbbing as he reached up and held it, gritting his teeth. Something wasn't right here. Everything in his head was muddled and he couldn't quite think straight, nothing about his situation seemed right. Where was he? Why was he here-?

As he opened his eyes more, his headache lessened just slightly, an eerie moonlit night apparent from a large hole in the ceiling and the large, ornate windows surrounding what seemed to be a large almost ballroom-like hall. He turned a bit and his eyes widened, his brother laying just behind him. "A-Alfred-" his voice was raspy- how long had he been out? Reaching down quickly, he pulled Alfred up against him, shaking him slightly. "Alfred wake up-"

that did not just happen, brotherly bonding, video games are srs bzn., bro's for life, what the fuck are we doing?!, canada, america
