WHEN: Friday (October 22) After Hours
WHERE: Juuust outside of the Head Boy/Girl’s Quarters
WHAT: A patrol turned soap opera. Forbidden Romance! Caught in the Act! Betrayal! Siblings Torn Apart! Oh and some furrowed eyebrow action too, aw yeah.
Hell must have recently relocated to the North Pole recently. There was no other explanation for it.
Because Arthur Kirkland was in a relatively good mood.
Granted, after what only could be described as the trouncing of that endlessly annoying house of troublemakers in the Quidditch match earlier that day, along with his hex on Dewi going off without a hitch (though the effects manifested in odd ways he hadn’t exactly foreseen) even he would be hard-pressed to maintain his default scowling expression.
Yes, if just for the moment everything was somewhat peachy for Arthur. Even if he had quite the lengthy patrol that spanned more than one floor. It was a bit of a hassle, but Arthur was nothing but meticulous when it came to his prefect duties.
Which is why he currently had the largest amount of ‘catches’ among his fellow prefects. That is, he was scarily brilliant at nabbing people out after hours. And if he wasn’t mistaken, which he very rarely was, he was just about to make his 53rd catch of the school year right by the Head Boy/Girl rooms. Cheeky fellow, whoever it was.
“Oi, you there. It’s past curfew.” Arthur called out once he was close enough that the scamp couldn’t easily escape. He rose his wand that had the necessary spell of Lumos cast as he strode forward, trying to make out who exactly he had apprehended.
Cloak missing, shirt tails half-tucked and half out, the material rumpled with the buttons misaligned, and with a face that-
"...Rajiv?"
Well. There went his good mood.
