Wer: Ludwig und Roderich.
Wenn: August 3rd, Tuesday morning.
Wo: Liberty Counseling Office.
Was: Therapy gone wrong. Terribly wrong.
Roderich should have known. He should have figured it out when the therapist insisted that Ludwig came into the room with them even though Roderich - and Ludwig - were not comfortable with the idea. After hearing a small spiel on how counseling was a group effort and everyone must participate, the two Germans finally agreed to enter the room together, sat on the couch together, scooted closer toward each other together, and gasped out loud together when the smiling therapist asked...
"So, how long have you two been a couple?"
Such an innocently misguided question sent Roderich's cheeks burning. He stammered, words spilling out in incoherent blabbering of sounds. He looked to Ludwig, as if his German friend was faring better. He turned his attention back on the smiling therapist.
"Excuse us, but I'm afraid you are mistaken. We are not a couple," he explained as clearly as possible.
The smiling therapist clicked her tongue. She shook her head and scribbled down notes on her notepad. "Now, Roderich, that's a very hurtful thing to say in front of your boyfriend. I understand you two are going through some troubles but you must be considerate. Think about how you would feel if Ludwig denied you as his lover."
"B-boy..." Roderich couldn't even bring himself to finish the word. His cheeks were already on fire, his eyes wide with embarrassment. Most of all, he was disappointed. Disappointed that the therapist's assumption was not true.
