(no subject)
my last paper was handed in today. all my pre-exam work is officially done. my exams start on thursday. and end on the 20th. then i have 18 glorious days until classes start again.
so i know i've bitched about my stupid foreign sociology prof before, but today he reached an entirely new level of absurdity.....
ok, so i missed the last 2 classes of that course because, well, i honestly couldn't stomach it anymore. then last night i realized that i didn't know what classroom the final exam was in, so i emailed him to ask. this is exactly what i wrote:
"Dr. Oleynik,
Hi there, I was just wondering if you could tell me what classroom the final exam is being held in and also when we can pick up our papers.
Thanks!
Deidre"
this morning i get an email from him:
"May be, if you paid more attention to the form you address your requests"
that was it. do you understand? beacause i sure as hell do not. anyway, i was irritated beyond words so while i was done at the school bringing my paper to Jamie i dropped by the sociology dept and found out what room the exam was in that way. when i got home i wrote him another email, in which i said this:
"Dr. Oleynik,
I'm not exactly sure what was wrong with the form i adressed my request, as you put it, but reagrdless I've found the information I was looking for elsewhere. Thanks anyway."
and finally, he replies with this:
"Your guess was completely correct.

A. Oleynik"

This is a man i've been attempting to learn from all semester, so you can see where my annoyance has stemmed from these past 4 months. He doesn't exactly give you much to work with. Neither of his emails made any sense what-so-ever...much like his lectures....anyway, i'm thinking about writing a letter to the department to formally complaining about him. He's completely incapable of communicating and when he doesn't communicate he's generally pretty rude. ok, i've bitched about this sufficiantly now...haha
anywho, good luck on your exams to all those slaving away in school and i hope you get a raise to all those slaving away at a job =)
