I've just commissioned a pair of altar stones for Loki & Sigyn, to be made by the same artisan and along similar lines fo the Narvi & Vali pair I also commissioned about a year ago. It'll be a few weeks or months before I get them, but once I do rest assured I'll be sharing pics of them here.

Thanks to a Kindred member, I now have a photo of the Sunna sunwheel I had made, and later placed into the fire as part of our Litha celebrations I described in a previous post.

One of my... crusades I suppose you could call it, is encouraging people to explore the Gods and Goddesses that are not commonly known or Hailed. I think many people, for lack of education, only hail a handful of Gods (Odin, Thor, Freya, Frigga, Freyr) but who will not hail Heimdal, or Sif, Hlin or Syn, Gerda, Skadhi, etc. I think that too many of ( Read more... )

So I finally got around to uploading my photos of the altar I put together for Ostara. This covers the initial set-up of the altar, as I forgot to take pictures of it once I had added the food and drink to it as well. Er... whoops. ^^;

Hmmm, so I'm working with the artisan on some altar pieces... and I really wanted one of the items in Blue Coral... unfortunately, we're having no luck finding blue coral soapstones (aka palmstones in the UK) anywhere. A friend of mine recently (Dec. 2007) found these Drinking Horn Inspired Candleholders in Big Lots. While the colors are a bit garish, after repainting them to suit personal tastes, they should make nice accents for those so inclined.

I'm thinking about commissioning some carving work for some altar pieces to represent Loki & Sigyn's sons, Narvi & Vali. I'd like to have some sort of design motif to the pieces to both tie them together, but also have variations in the design motif so each is unique.
