I hit 41.5 K words, which is close enough to 50K to rankle but also feels really, really good. The end is in sight for this story, as I know exactly how many scenes are left to have a complete draft, and I've actually already written the ending, so it's the late-middle/climactic confrontation that's left. I fell way behind on my nano count over the weekend due to the medieval festival and the steampunk circus wedding, so I've already caught up a bit, but there are many more words to be written! (And some serious outlining to update, as I just figured out my villain's primary object for this section. Oops.)

Made up my deficit from the weekend plus some, thanks to a few word sprints and a vanilla chai-fueled write-in. Going to pack it in on an up note and try not to make myself crazy over election coverage.
