pls to 'splain magic to the vulcan, hailing all escape routes, needs more bling, this place is illogical, magic is illogical, is emony logical?, bones is illogical, thank vulcan nyota is logical, buffy...has peculiar logic, srs work bzns, kirk is illogical, for science!

From what I know, it's simple. You just need a little skill and a tome. Though, I'm pretty sure you need to know some Old Tongue as well.

Interesting that you would ask about that, my world did do just that.

But it involved draining what was the very life energy from a particular type of creature of which we lack here. These creatures all died from the process.

I am actually very relieved to hear that. I doubt that is the only way, magic works very differently in all worlds from what I have learned.

As my world is vastly unexplored, I cannot answer that query with certainty. As for the planets that we have explored, magic does not exist. You are unfamiliar with the field of electrical science?

To an extent, lightning magic can be substituted for the more common methods of powering a device. However, it is at best a short-term solution without the proper requirements.
