pls to 'splain magic to the vulcan, hailing all escape routes, needs more bling, this place is illogical, magic is illogical, is emony logical?, bones is illogical, thank vulcan nyota is logical, buffy...has peculiar logic, srs work bzns, kirk is illogical, for science!

Does magic not exist in your world? Then again, I've never heard of anything called electrical hardware.

As my world is vastly unexplored, I cannot answer that query with certainty. As for the planets that we have explored, magic does not exist. You are unfamiliar with the field of electrical science?

And I would reply likewise. Electrical science is inherent in all aspects of life. We cannot sustain our quality of life as it currently is without it.

It must be a vital part of life, then. It sounds quite different from magic. In Tellius, magic mostly serves its purpose in battle.

Science is a tool. In its proper application, it can be used for or against life- from the weapons present on ships to the technology used by doctors to preserve a life.

I see. Then your magic is a purely offensive skill? You have not discovered other applications for it?

Yes, you're right . . . Most things that can help save a life can also be twisted in some form to take it.

While there is healing magic, a whole branch of offensive magic exists. But it's a task to learn, as I understand it.

I'm no magic user. I'd have to study the Old Tongue and obtain a tome before I can even be considered one, magical aptitude aside.
