Well this week was my first week alone at work.  Any of you who know me realize that things in life just happen to me, usually without me doing anything.  I have had 3 nights in a row alone.  The first night the backup disk was full on the computer...so backing up the files wouldn't work.  One of the other manager's didn't mind me calling at 4 am ( Read more... )

So, we made it back safe from vacation.  It was a great time.  I ended up loving the area and enjoyed learning how to be a beach bum.  The ride home was interesting since we got hit by lightning near Cheyenne, WY.  Bought a lottery ticket upon returning to Iowa, though I didn't win anything.  We even got to spend an extra day in Wyoming with my mom ( Read more... )

My week has been really weird.  I have been in some floaty twilight zone.  Anything I do either takes forever or doesn't work the way it is supposed to.  About the only thing that really went alright was the interview I had yesterday.  Now I have to wait until next week to hear.  Though they did broach the subject of pay.  It is salaried with more ( Read more... )

Job hunting really sucks.  I have applied for most of the commutable ones already that in some way could possibly use my degree.  That is about a dozen jobs, give or take.  There are a few more that I will apply for today.  Then it is applying for jobs that are farther away and not commutable and jobs that you need no education for ( Read more... )
