This morning, I went shopping for additional yarn for my skirt project. The stores (note the plural) didn't have enough skeins of the Brick color to finish the project. (Forget about trying to match dye lots. They didn't have enough Brick yarn period.) So I changed my design. I bought the additional yarn in a Cranberry color. I'm going to alternate the Brick and the Cranberry skeins to created a two-toned reddish striped effect. I'm more of a solid color person when it comes to clothes, so I don't know if I'll like the result. But I'm willing to experiment since the whole skirt design is an experiment. Here's hoping the colors work together as stripes and that I like the look. Otherwise, this skirt will turn into a learning experience.
