New :-)

Hello, I'm new to the community, and to bonsai-ing. About a week, ago, I got a bonsai for my birthday. It's a Ficus Benjamina KiKi. It's been doing good, I water it everyday and it's got a lot of new leaves coming in that are a nice green color.

Now, since I'm new to this whole thing, I would really appreciate any advice you can give. Is it supposed to look, well, twigy? It doesn't look unhealthy, just thin. I'm not really sure how old it was, as I said, it was a birthday present and the person who bought it for me never asked. It shouldn't be that old, though. As for pruning, since it's a ficus, how should I go about doing that? Let it just grow naturally and once more leaves come in, then prun it? What kind of fertilizing should I do? What brand should I use? It came with a small, not very discriptive set of instructions, simply telling me to fertilize it once every two weeks, I think it said. Am I going about watering it the right way? I leave it on the windowsill for most of the day, rotating it each day.

Thank you to anyone who helps me out here. :-) I just want to make sure I'm treating my bonsai right!
